Manual calculation had been made using inverse square law formula which the relation of sound pressure levels at receiver and distance from sound source. In old studies, to predict on noise levels, a ground setup must be done and sound level meter were used to determine the sound pressure level (SPL). The use of cadnaa software for noise simulation can prevent in high initial cost for noise prediction. The method of using manual calculation and cadnaa software can give the difference in tolerance between both two methods.
The study conducted using the method of manual calculation and cadnaa software. Compressor package had been choosen as the main source of noise as compressor were the most serious issues in oil and gas sector. A study on noise simulation had been done for with and without barrier cases at compressor package. Major consent of this study is the cost for noise prediction and the reading of sound pressure levels at certain point. In order to solve this problem, a significant way must be taken into consideration to prevent this environment pollution. Noise emission were declared as one of environment pollution in many industries, especially in oil and gas sector which required more advance equipment.
